The Soderquist Fellowship program offers talented individuals the opportunity of a full scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree while working for Soderquist Leadership. This model of applied academics brings students together with practitioners in a professional setting. Soderquist Leadership has partnered with John Brown University to offer the following degree programs:
Soderquist Leadership is dedicated to developing values-based leaders around the world. Since our founding in 1998 by Don Soderquist, retired COO of Walmart, Soderquist Leadership has worked with hundreds of organizations and impacted thousands of leaders who are making a difference in the marketplace today.
Full scholarship to pursue your Master’s degree at John Brown University, a private, nondenominational Christian University, ranked by U.S. News as the top college in the South.
Monthly Stipend of $1,550 as a Project Coordinator for Soderquist Leadership. Term is 06/2016 - 05/2018.
Access to top leaders, both at Soderquist Leadership & those you will meet through Soderquist.
Exciting place to study business. The Northwest Arkansas region is home to the corporate offices of Walmart, Tyson Foods, and J.B. Hunt, as well as approximately 1,500 Walmart suppliers.
Experience of a lifetime. It’s not uncommon to share dinner with a customer, belay climbers from a 50-foot tower, spend time in the office coordinating logistics for customer events, co-teach undergrad students, or board a plane to almost anywhere, in any given week.
Accelerate your career. From earning a Doctorate, to running a top performing team, to starting a life-saving nonprofit, our Fellowship graduates have gone on to do amazing things.
A limited number of Soderquist Fellowships are available each academic year. These fellowships include tuition to pursue an MBA, MS, or MFA degree at John Brown University, and a monthly stipend for 35 hours of work per week at Soderquist Leadership. The term of the fellowship runs from June to May (23 months). Applicants must show strong leadership skills, personal initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to learn by experience.
Before being considered for a fellowship—candidates must apply for admission to the Graduate program through the JBU Graduate Admissions Office. Provisional fellowships may be awarded upon approval by Soderquist Leadership and the Director(s) of Graduate Programs. Full award of a fellowship will not take place until all admission requirements have been met with the JBU Graduate & Professional Studies Office.
