Meet our Executive Coaches...

CAPT Steve Trainor,
USN, Ret., Ph.D.

Steve has over 30 years of Active Duty Navy experience; most recently as the U.S. Naval Academy's Director of Leadership Education and Development, and first Permanent Military Professor of Leadership. His work has been featured in The New York Times in Leadership, The San Diego Daily Transcript, and on C-SPAN. Steve received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Full bio | Video

Carolyn Walton

Carolyn has over 25 years experience as a senior executive, including roles as Senior Vice President at Progress Energy, serving in Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s Cabinet, and most recently, Vice President for Information Systems Strategy at Walmart. Carolyn is an honors graduate from Vanderbilt University and has completed executive education programs at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tom Verdery

Tom has over 34 years of experience working with Procter & Gamble, of which the last 14 years spent at the senior leadership level working exclusively outside the US with Walmart. Tom holds an MBA in Management from The University of Dallas and a BBA in Marketing from Texas Tech University. Full bio | Video

Lori Chalmers

Lori served as an executive at a local non-profit with over 500 employees, as well as a coach for a number of direct reports and others within the organization. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Lori received her Bachelor’s in Biblical Literature and Psychology from Ozark Christian College and her Master’s in Community Counseling from Pittsburg State University. Full bio.

Alex Cornett

Alex has over 30 years of leadership experience in the food industry, working in executive roles at Steak and Ale Corporation, The Pillsbury Company, and General Mills. Alex’s areas of expertise are strategic planning, starting and leading multifunctional customer teams, sales, innovation, and marketing. Alex also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas-Arlington. Full bio.

Doug Turner

Doug has over 20 years experience as a leader in the golf industry, including 13 years as Employment Services/Career Counselor for the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA). Doug received his Masters Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from Ouachita Baptist University. Full bio.

Sandy Tush

Sandy has over 30 years experience in adult education and leadership development. She currently serves as a Senior Facilitator at Soderquist Leadership, creating and delivering leadership programs. Sandy is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and also has multiple certifications, including Professional in Human Resources (PHR), EQ-i, The Birkman Method, and many more. Full bio.
